ST. GEORGE
The town of St. George is one of
Bermuda’s jewels. We must do
more to help it realize its full
potential, not just as World
Heritage Site but also as a town
that works. Working closely with
East End residents and the
Corporation of St. George, the
next United Bermuda Party
government will:
- Renovate and re-open the
Police station to St.
George.
- Use the fuel tax to ensure
that the Town of St.
George and its partners
have sufficient income to
balance their budgets and
provide for capital
improvements.
- Work with residents, the
St. George’s Foundation,
the Corporation and
investors to develop the
town as a premiere
cultural tourism
destination—Bermuda’s “Williamsburg.”
- Facilitate and encourage
St. George’s incomeproducing
yacht business
through reasonable
immigration and customs
policies.
- Move ahead with
rebuilding the Causeway.
